Care of your homefront furniture

Metal

Wipe occasionally with a damp cloth, this should remove dust and marks.
For stubborn marks, wipe over with soapy water.

Small chips or scratches should be touched up immediately with primer followed by matching paint to prevent rust forming

Upholstery

We recommend regular vacuuming or brushing with a soft nylon brush to remove any surface grit or dust. Regular turning of the cushions helps prolong the life of covers and reduces the need for cleaning. If further cleaning is deemed necessary, we would recommend dry cleaning in situ by a specialist cleaning agency.

Glass

We recommend that soft cloths be laid under plates etc to avoid scratches.
Clean with a glass cleaner and soft cloth.

Granite

Observation of a few simple rules will help to maintain the visual appearance of the granite surface and promote its’ longevity.

1. Grit, and dust should be brushed off the surface or removed with a vacuum cleaner. Washing with dirty wet rags just forms an abrasive ‘soup’ which could be detrimental to the surface.

2. Local beverage spillages should be quickly mopped up using a clean cloth, dampened to remove sticky patches. Frequent washing with copious amounts of water is not recommended.

3. To maintain the shine and remove water marks left by wiping cloths, occasional polishing with ‘stone cream’, or similar, on the dry granite surface is a good practice of adopt.
